Bad Advice
We have all had it given to us at one point or the other, people who can’t run their own lives telling us to how to run ours. One of the stupidest things you can do in life is to ask the wrong person for advice, even stupider is being around someone who gives you the wrong advice without you asking for it.
I have had some terrible advice given to me but with the Grace of God, I have been able to shoot past most of it.
Here are some of the worst pieces of advice I have ever received.
- Don’t play with people; it is mean (What kind of stupidity is this!).
- Be careful, she may be trying to tie you down (Sure, I might be that stupid).
- Why would you buy that, it is so stupid!
- You should get married (When I was 18, what the hell?).
- Stay celibate and you will lead a happy life (When I was 12! Are you playing, I couldn’t do it If I tried!).
- Never gamble (Life is a gamble!).
- Don’t buy that car, if you accidentally nic it, your insurance payment will go high enough to buy another car (Sure, that is what I want to think about)!
- Wait (This is one I really detest).
- Slow down (Almost hate it as much as Wait).
- Don’t threaten me, it wont work (I am sure it doesn’t, that is why I am doing it <Gawd!>).
- No one can stay on top forever, in the end everything you do catches up to you (Sure, don’t remind me till then, pretty please).
- You will fall, you think you are untouchable but you are not (Good one, usually get this one from liberals).
- I can’t always agree with you Sir (Why the hell did I hire you?).
- Repent or go to hell (I don’t believe in hell).
- I don’t think we should expand now with the recession and all (Sure, I am the one, who runs the place, what would I know?).
- This is a field we know nothing about; maybe we should invest in to research (Again with the waiting).
