I was thinking closing the community to the public would be a good idea as some of the content cold be deemed private and I would be more comfortable making posts of said nature.

I would suggest the opposite, isn't the idea of any site; to grow?

One thing i like about the forum is that it is not a warez forum, I get so tired of seeing the same bullshit warez crap everywhere i look. That said, I would suggest perhaps a streaming movie section, we could post links on movie forums to the section and quickly gain many members.

I would also suggest an arcade or/and a live game section where we can embed flash games - something is needed to get people to the forum and keep them here.
